Uyuni Salt Flats
Bolivia

10,000 square kilometres of white salt reflecting an infinite sky.

South America · Bolivia

Why visit Bolivia?

The Salar de Uyuni is the world's largest salt flat — during the rainy season a thin layer of water creates the world's largest natural mirror, reflecting the sky in both directions until there is no horizon. It is one of the most extraordinary photography opportunities in nature.

Bolivia is the cheapest country in South America and also contains the Death Road (now a mountain bike route), Lake Titicaca and La Paz at 3,600m. It demands patience and acclimatisation but rewards both generously.
